Vulcan — 2015
The Vulcan is the first car exclusively dedicated to the track in Aston Martin’s recent history, conceived with no compromise for the road. Its naturally aspirated 7.0-litre V12 produces 820 bhp in an all-carbon-fibre body generating considerable aerodynamic downforce thanks to its front canards, its massive rear diffuser and its adjustable wing. Each owner benefits from a track support programme with professional drivers, allowing them to progress gradually until they can safely exploit the car’s full potential.
Produced in just 24 examples and sold at £1.8 million, the Vulcan quickly saw its value double on the secondary market. It marked Aston Martin’s entry into the category of track hypercars reserved for the wealthiest seekers of extreme thrills, paving the way for the Valkyrie AMR Pro. On Aston Passion, its section in the Hyper-Cars category brings together passionate discussions about its track performance and the accounts of the few members who have been able to see it in action.
